Hotel Marriot in Mostar (photos 23/7/2018 and 7/7/2018)

The photos from 7/7/2018 depict the #UNESCO protected area of the Old Town of Mostar in the peak of the tourist season. It is interesting to know that Marriott maintains extensive business connections within LDS Church heritage and membership, as well as that a prominent associate was #Michigan Governor George W. Romney, father of U.S. Senator Mitt Romney, a former governor of #Massachusetts and the Republican nominee for president of the United States in 2012. According to the interview with the general manager of the Mostar Marriott since 2016, Marwan Ragheb, the hotel's opening was planned in the spring of 2018. According to Linkedin: the general manager of the Mostar Marriot Hotel, Marwan Ragheb "is a critical thinker, creative problem solver and insightful strategic planner, with significant strengths in managing multiple complex projects while demanding, fast-paced and deadline-driven within the work environment". He is a holder of dual Egyptian and Swiss citizenship. The photos from 23/7/2018 depict  the #Radobolja river in #Mostar next to the construction site of the Hotel #Marriott (apparently a joint #Turkish and #US venture), which is located in the #UNESCO protected area. Still visible are the traces of the excavator which obviously entered the river to dispose of construction waste. The Radobolja river, as well as being a confluent of the #Neretva, which is one of Europe's most beautiful rivers - is still being used as A SOURCE OF DRINKING WATER IN MOSTAR! A part of the water-supply is located at the spring of the only 5 km long Radobolja.
